Hi everyone, my name is Yolanda Leask. I am a British textile designer and entrepreneur based in Berlin, Germany. I co-founded the company Doppelhaus Ltd and developed the sustainable nonwoven material Cloudwool using local coarse European wool (non-merino) combined with an innovative and cost-efficient nonwoven production process. We supply Balenciaga and had interesting R&D projects with Volkswagen and Made-in-England luxury shoe label Grenson. I studied at Weißensee art school in Berlin and have worked a lot with the STFI in Chemnitz. I already know quite a lot about textile recycling and am keen to network here regarding the circular economy in textiles and fashion. I will be attending the trip to Würzburg with SiT next week (20th April 2026) and look forward to meeting fellow textile experts there.
